Pa.gov is the official website for all branches of the Pennsylvania state government and the many departments that serve the commonwealth. Resources for Housing, Healthcare, Education, Tourism and Economic Development are some of the many services they provide.
Serves as the area-wide planning organization for Berks County. The Commission provides a regional blueprint for land use, transportation and community facilities. It assists local units of government with development and preservation activities and provides guidance to the Berks County Board of Commissioners and other departments of county government.
The Reading Area Transportation Study (RATS) is responsible for developing the four-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the entire county and presenting the TIP for approval by the State Transportation Committee (STC).

Penn DOT is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Pennsylvania's multimodal transportation system.
The STIC is a cross-section of various stakeholders, state and federal agencies, local governments, research organizations and industry partners that work together to forge an environment of innovation, imagination and ingenuity to pursue specific initiatives and their rapid implementation to deliver a modern and high-quality transportation system to the citizens of the Commonwealth.
STIC evaluates well researched and proven technologies that are ready to be implemented in the field. Technologies, tactics, and techniques that are selected will be employed and promoted to become standard practice within the transportation community at the local, regional, or statewide level.
